How to write content that drives traffic to websites Back to products

As you probably know , writing and content syndication can be a powerful way to generate targeted traffic to your site in the long term . But there are unique challenges when you have a product-based site. How do you write the kind of non-advertising content that publishers are willing to publish ... but still drives traffic to your site?

Firstly, what I mean by a " product-based website?

I mean any site where you sell the product ( s) that customers can purchase either for download or delivery. So you can have multiple pages , each of which focuses on a different product ... and that means you need to be creative in content production to spread the word about your business and increase your online visibility .

In my experience, most people with products based on first taking the right approach websites and then wonder why they take off. They assume they must write content that enhances the exact product they have on their site and then create a link to the sales page of the same product in order to generate traffic.

This seems obvious, but unfortunately , the approach does not work for the following reason - most publishers simply do not want to publish content that is basically an infomercial for a particular product . So while you could syndicate such content , some publishers never want to publish ... so that your work will be for little or no reward , and you deny the benefit of a much more effective approach.

Instead , publishers are looking for content that mainly adds value to their own visitors and target audience . For published extensively on quality sites , the main objective should be content to their advantage , not you.

It's a subtle difference , but in return , they are happy to link to your site (which is how you get that) . It is a mutually beneficial partnership , where you are actually providing enough content to justify your own ad at the end , commonly called bio or resource box.

So the question is ... what you write is the content if you can not refer to your own products in the body of the article? How can you bring the benefit of your content for publishers and thereby attract targeted traffic from publishing sites to your own ?

Your goal is to write content that will attract customers who would then be interested in the item (s) you have.

So if you sell photography equipment , you can write articles on how to take great photos, how to correct exposure , how to sell photographs and related images online , and so on. You want to attract people interested in these topics, and then at the end of the content to give them the opportunity to click on your site for more information . This is when you begin to develop your relationship with them , build confidence , and at some point get the sale.

One approach would be to use the bio box - your "announcement" at the end of content - to offer them a free tutorial video, or even a series of these videos on various aspects of photography. In exchange for this, you should ask for their email address .

Then continuing email monitoring these perspectives, you'll keep your brow business minded for them. When looking to buy , who will they think of first ? It's true ... you . Here's how this type of content syndication works and is profitable for you.

Here is another example of a product-based site.

Imagine that you sell baby clothes, and possibly other related baby products . What audience are you trying to attract to your website with your content? Mainly pregnant mothers , of course.

So you can write content offer advice and anecdotes on the experience of pregnancy and childbirth , the first weeks of parenthood , facing sleep deprivation , Weening , and more.

Possible topics are only limited by your imagination and the ability to get into the skin of your target market.
